I spent way too much time at the Horsemanship clinic analyzing fashions. I just couldn't help it. I was watching these people for up to 8 hours every day. I couldn't spend the whole time just watching their horses. So, I am now an expert on "what to wear" if you ever go to a Buck Brannaman clinic.
First of all, the hat is critical. You cannot wear a ball cap, it has to be a cowboy hat, and a flat topped one would be best.
I fell head over heals with Reata Brannaman's hat. I know 90% of all clinic watchers do too, since they sell the hats and probably make lots of money doing it.
I talked about her hat all the time, which drove the twins crazy, but I had to get all the details. So here they are: flat topped, pointed down at the top, bunkhouse roll on the back, dark brown cloth around the edge, brown leather band, and a silver concho. I want one.
So then I had to analyze all the other cute hats too. Sarah's is darling, but I think I want a bigger brim.
This is Janice. She is a very good roper. (better than her husband) and she has a very nice hat. But no roll on the back. I think I want the roll.
Look at the darling chin strap! And I'm crazy about this scarf... "wild rag" to use the right lingo, I guess.
So, when we have our ranch and you come to visit, you'll know what to wear!
