Yes, it's true. After many years of just wondering what it is like in the land of the rising sun, I am headed to Japan. I said, "no, I cannot come. I cannot leave the kids, blah, blah, blah." And Mr. Bechtel said, "yes, you can. I will arrange everything." So he has. Thank you to everyone who is helping take care of the kidlets. Maybe I'll post some culture shock photos when I get there.
