I am pleased to announce that Mr. Bechtel is another year older and wiser.
In honor of the occasion we decided to make homemade ice cream. This was the first time we used our old fashioned crank ice cream maker and it performed beautifully.
We were lucky to have real experts manning the machine.
But waiting can be HARD. "How much longer??"
Ok, times up! Let's check. OOOOOHHHH! Yum. What? The instructions say we should now chill it?? No way. Let's try some....
Fabulous! A little peach cobbler with our peach ice cream. We're so glad Mr. Bechtel had a birthday so we could celebrate! Here's to another great year.

Oooooh! That looks sooooo good! My Mom used to make homeade Ice Cream every sunday....I should talk to her about that:) I think that Alma is so cute!(sorry, I don't know his nickname) Happy Birthday!!!
